About Us

Your Family Is in Great Hands

Nice to Meet You!

Hey friends!

My name is Jacqueline Traweek and I am the owner/director/lead teacher at Little Brahma Barn. My husband and I own this business together!  We are college sweethearts (Go UH Coogs)! Ryan graduated from East Bernard High School in 2004 and when we married in 2010 we made East Bernard our permanent home. Mr. Ryan is more of a silent partner who shows up from time to time with cool things like rocks, snakes and funny stories. Ryan is a Project Manager and Geologist for Halliburton by trade, but owns a few small businesses as well.

We have three children who will be in First, Fifth and Seventh grade in the 2024 - 2025 school year! Most of our time as a family is spent going to sporting events for the kids, preparing Livestock projects, getting really messy playing outside, hanging out with friends and family and lots and lots of laundry. Our family believes it is important to serve and worship in one's community. We attend Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard and serve on various boards in town. Ryan is the Secretary for the East Bernard ISD School Board and I have served on the Campus Improvement Committee at East Bernard Elementary, the District Improvement Committee and have sat in on multiple Texas Education Agency Prek round tables as well as taught Catechism and Vacation Bible School Classes for many years. A huge passion of mine is collaborating with other small business owners in East Bernard in order to help make our wonderful community even better!

I answer to MJ, Mrs. Jackie or all sorts of other Prekinder nicknames and I am a Certified Texas educator with an undergraduate degree in Special and Early Childhood Education and finished my Masters in Early Childhood and Special Education in 2021.  I got my start in public education and decided once my kiddos came along it was time to stay home.

I feel passionately that learning is a wholistic experience that spans the course of many modalities. I also believe that it is never too early to look ahead and see what we want for our children down the road. Learning should be comprehensive and prepare children for the future, but also be FUN and developmentally appropriate for each child!

We have been blessed with almost 10 graduating classes at LBB!
